One team, four disciplines
Designers, engineers and a security lead sit on the same project from the first call. No handovers, no vendor blaming the other vendor when something breaks.
Toledo, Ohio. Working with clients in every US time zone.
Next Wave Digital Agency designs, engineers, secures and maintains the websites and software your business runs on. One team holds all four, so nothing falls through the gap between a design shop, a dev shop and a security vendor.
Toledo made its name laminating glass: separate sheets bonded into one layer that holds when something hits it. We build the same way.
Designers, engineers and a security lead sit on the same project from the first call. No handovers, no vendor blaming the other vendor when something breaks.
Every site leaves here with a hardened stack, a patch schedule and a tested restore. Fixing that after a breach costs many times what doing it up front costs.
Most agencies invoice and disappear. Our care plans cover updates, monitoring, backups and small changes, with a named contact who replies inside one business day.
About the studio
Next Wave Digital Agency LLC started in 2016 in a rented back room on Islington Street. The first jobs were rescue work: sites that had been built cheaply, abandoned by whoever made them, and then broken into. That pattern shaped how we work now.
We keep the team deliberately small, take on a limited number of builds each quarter, and treat maintenance as real engineering rather than an afterthought. Clients range from Ohio manufacturers and clinics to software companies on both coasts.
What we do
Most clients take design, build and care as one package. If you only need one piece, that is fine too. We will tell you honestly when you do not need us.
Research, wireframes, interface design and a reusable design system, so the site is easy to use and easy to extend.
Marketing sites, editorial platforms and online stores built to load fast, rank well and stay easy for your team to edit.
Internal tools, customer portals, APIs and integrations that replace the spreadsheet everyone is quietly afraid of.
Audits, penetration testing, hardening and incident response for the web systems your revenue depends on.
Hosting, updates, backups, uptime monitoring and a monthly block of hours for the changes you keep meaning to make.
Speed work, technical SEO and honest analytics, so the site you paid for is actually found and actually used.
Working together
Three monthly plans cover design, engineering, security and care. Pick the one that matches how much change your business puts through the site each month.
One site, kept fast, patched and watched, with a small block of hours for changes.
For teams shipping regularly: bigger hour block, quarterly security testing, active performance work.
Multiple properties or custom software, with a named lead and a same day response window.
Client words
We had been through two agencies. Next Wave was the first that asked what our order desk actually did all day before drawing anything. The new portal cut our phone orders in half.
Our old site was hacked twice in a year. They cleaned it, rebuilt it and locked it down, and we have not had a single incident since. The monthly report is short and I can understand every line of it.
They told us we did not need half of what we asked for. That one conversation saved us about twenty thousand dollars and made me trust everything they said afterwards.
Send a short description of your project. You will get a reply from an engineer, not a sales script, usually within one business day.
